My name is Jonas & I like to play guitar, write songs and play music in the bands Buck-O-Nine and Destrung.

Buck-O-Nine is a band I have been with since 1992. We play a mixture of ska, punk, reggae, etc. I think of our sound as Oingo Boingo meets The Dead Kennedys with Reggae Stylings thrown in. I am the guitarist of the band. We have played shows in every venue imaginable across the USA, and around the world. You can find out more about at the Buck O Nine website.

Destrung is a 3 piece band I started more recently to play a different type of music than what Buck-O-Nine plays. Our sound is evolving into something like that sounds like Lou Reed singing singing in the band the Violent Femmes. At times we embrace other sounds too. We cover a Johnny Paycheck song called "Georgia in a Jug," and a Jawbreaker song, "Bad Scene, Everyone’s Fault." I am the singer and guitarist for Destrung. We've been playing shows in San Diego mostly but we had our first show ever at a club in LA in Nov 2003.
